The ticket owner shares a deeplink directly with a friend (via message, email, etc.).
The friend opens the link and accepts the shared ticket. (If they aren't yet an app user, they'll be directed to the app store to download the app.)
Once accepted, the ticket instantly appears in their app, ready to be scanned at the entrance.
The original order remains with the buyer in your ticketing system, ensuring full traceability.
The ticket owner retains control and can revoke access at any time.
The ticket owner selects a ticket & clicks on "Share ticket" to create a deeplink that can be shared with their friends.
As soon as a friend opens the link, they will see an invite for the shared ticket. When clicking on "Accept" the ticket is added to the shared ticket section.
Ticket sharing can be activated via remote app config, an app update isn't necessary. Get in touch with customer support to activate this feature right now.
The "Tickets from friends" section & the "received tickets section" can be placed either on the homescreen or on the community screen.
Displaying the event image in both sections is optional.
It's not currently possible to exclude certain tickets from being shared via pricetype or other rules. This feature is on our roadmap and will be coming soon.
Sharing a ticket with a friend via the app doesn't affect the order in the ticketing system; the order stays with the original buyer. Recording additional information about the person with whom the ticket is shared into the ticketing system is on our roadmap.
